Doctor Who's 50th anniversary is coming. In Cardiff, we're gearing up for the biggest, the best and the most ambitious season we've ever made. There will be shocks, surprises and heartbreak - the Doctor is about to say goodbye to his very best friends, Amy and Rory.

And then he's about to say hello to someone very different - the Doctor is going to meet someone very new in the very last place he could ever have expected...

Can't wait to see who it is!

Steven Moffat Promises 'at least' 14 episodes

In an interview with the Radio Times Steven Moffat has said that there is no better time to be a Doctor Who fan than now and for the 50th Anniversary!

He also went onto say that there will be at least 14 episodes (including the Christmas Special). So maybe were in for a longer run this time round. Looking forward to what Series 7 has to offer!

For me it was one of the better Christmas stories, im not usually one for them, but this was a good episode. I liked the reference to Androzani Major.

Back in Cardiff. Series 7 Production office open for business – here we go again.

So that means that the episodes being prepared now are more than likely going to be for the 50th Anniversary celebrations.

So there's a very good reason for people to get excited!!!

Steven Moffat has said tonight that

“The final days of the Ponds are coming during the next series. Then the Doctor will meet a new friend”

What do you guys think of the news? Do you think there’s going to be any other surprises along with it? As you see, it only says ‘The Doctor’ is going to meet a new friend. Doesn’t say Matt’s Doctor or the Current Doctor will meet a new friend….So could be a regeneration on the cards too.

Official Doctor Who Convention

I has been announced that an Official Doctor Who convention will take place next year, and that tickets for the event go on sale from monday. The tickets are priced at £99 each and there are only 1500 available for each day.Will you be diving in for tickets on monday? Im not sure who will be there, but as soon as we know anything we will keep you informed.

Doctor Who Encyclopedia

BBC books have now released the latest edition of the Doctor Who Encyclopedia in the usual book form, but also on iPad too.

Latest edition sees the book brought to life, in its own iPad edition, with beautiful vivid images, using the crisp screen for the iPad. We cansay it uses the iPads layout beautifully, and is a must for any Whovian who owns an iPad!

Remember if you dont own an iPad, you can always go with the old fashion way and read the book ;-)

We will write up a review of both the iPad and Book version when we can.

Just wanted to get people's views on this. Do you think it's am indication of what's to come?

Are they gearing up for a regeneration at the special or indeed next series, and having a new Doctor leading the series and special in 2013?

Matt has indicated his desire to make it in America, so it wouldn't shock me. Also this won't help the latest rumours of him leaving either.

And it has to be said that at the moment that is all they are.... Rumours

What's everyone's thoughts? Would be nice to get people's opinions on this. What everyone thought about it.

Would you be sad to see Matt go. Or would you be excited for a new Doctor? Both maybe?

Why do you think it is so important that Confidential continues?
What would you say to people who say Confidential had run it's course and run out things to show?
Do you agree that perhaps Confidential needs to, at least, be pared down and have its budget cut in response to BBC cuts?
What is your response to BBC 3's statement that it will concentrate on original, prime-time programming?
What are your top 3 Confidential moments that you think demonstrate the importance of the show?

Hi There,

Confidential should continue because it is good entertainment and it is also an educational and information show for all the family.

What I'd say to people who think Confidential has run it's course is to think about the great moments such as The Script to Screen competition which encouraged schools to take part and got kids working together for a show they enjoy watching.

Confidential does need to be cut down, it needs to be cut down to about 20-30 minutes because their is too much padding out currently in the 45 minute version of the show and it simply doesn't work.

If they concentrate on the informative and educational parts of the show and don't forget, it's Doctor Who so every episode they are faced with different tasks so it will always be an interesting watch.

Our response to BBC's statement is that it really doesn't make much sense to us personally.

Doctor Who Confidential has been original, prime-time programme for BBC Three and because it's different every week, it will always be fresh as there is something new to learn each week.

Top 3:

- Script to Screen Competition
- David Tennant's Leaving behind the scenes and his regeneration scenes
- The one everyone is talking about is River's Story - in the last ever episode they showed her story. This would be great for a new viewer. The fact they will miss out on this in the future is very sad really.
